Tell us a bit about your work and role.
As a Murex consultant at Luxoft, I find we have a very inclusive workplace that suits my needs.
I contribute to automation build and execution in the Murex testing space and bring up new proposals for automation that will benefit the client.
What is your life like after working (including weekends)? For example, what is your favorite hobby?
I enjoy spending quality time with my family. I enjoy cooking and making videos about my cooking. I even have a YouTube channel where I share all my creations.
Hailing from the small town Karaikudi which is well known for its rich variety of dishes, I understand the nature of ingredients and the medicinal value in each of them.
I’ve inherited the rich culture and values from my elders and feel proud to follow them in my everyday cooking as well.
Apart from cooking I love to visit the library with my little one and enjoy reading to her and engaging with her in an interactive story session.
How does Luxoft help you maintain a work-life balance?
At Luxoft, we set clear goals for the year, and this helps us stay focused to achieve them.
I’m happy to be part of the Banking and Capital Markets team. My team leads do not micromanage, and they support us as we explore different ways of working. We interact with each other very often and this allows us to clear hurdles promptly. The leaders are always approachable and open-minded, and they provide support whenever needed. For example, once when a team member had a personal emergency, one of our leaders came to back us up with our workload.
What would your advice be for tech professionals who are busy and struggling to find time for their passions?
Make a list of activities that you enjoy and set aside time to do them. Regardless of how busy work is, always make it a point to take care of yourself and spend time with your loved ones. It helps you feel refreshed and reduces your stress levels.
