In Munich, Luxoft is running a project for a premium car manufacturer focused on the development of interactive in-vehicle apps / features / services for smartphones and vehicle onboard units. We employ multiple data types to ensure deployable, maintainable, scalable and reliable (on-board and off-board store) tools and services. This project requires several teams of software engineers responsible for developing, extending, testing, integrating, documenting and maintaining applications/APIs, features and services for mobile applications (Android/iOS), onboard applications (JavaScript, node.js), and big data backend/cloud services (like Azure).

Currently we are looking for Germany-based Delivery Directors for our Autonomous Drive (AD) practice serving its leading Automotive OEM-s and Tier-1s accounts.
The current team-size of our Autonomous Drive practice is 250 FTE rapidly doubling to 500 FTE.

Responsibilities
• Build a world-class delivery organization capable of delivering results in multiple types of engagements, incl. fixed-price managed services, co-development and agile programs in the ADAS / AD domain, through a mix of on-site, co-located SW house and near-shore teams in various geographies.
• Oversee all program delivery for one or more anchor and growth customers within the AD practice, including Operational ownership of delivery budget.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, management and coordination of all activities including goal setting, planning, estimating, resource allocation and assignments, project & program health and reporting, and problem resolution.
• Maintain close relationships with key stakeholders at customers and a strong customer focused service culture, with highest performance standards for quality, customer commitments and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with technical experts, delivery organizations, account directors, and our sales team to coordinate pre-sale support and ensure we exceed customer expectations during project execution.
• Coach program & project leaders in industry best practices and emerging engagement models.
• Locations: assigned to Munich, Stuttgart or Frankfurt office.
Skills Required
• Education: A degree in Computer Science/Engineering or similar is required for this position.
• 10+ years of experience in Automotive domain and 5+ years managing software development teams & delivery, resource management, consulting, client management & business relationship management, preferably in IT service companies with focus on ADAS.
• Strong career progression from a technical background into program management and oversight.
• Proven program management skills. Must be able to engage on the program / project level hands-on as needed.
• Understanding of contemporary IT technologies and platforms, product development lifecycle, software development methodologies is a plus.
• Good understanding of automotive industry ecosystem and existing contact network of Automotive OEM-s and TIER1-s.
• Working knowledge of modern automotive technologies incl. ASPICE and Agile.
• Experience with financial & budget management (P&L, planning, forecasting, deviation analysis etc.)
• Experience of working with internationally distributed teams including outsourcing models is a plus.
• Ability to build and maintain executive-level client relationships in complex hierarchical corporate environment.
• Articulate, excellent presentation and communication skills as well as strong influencing and negotiation skills to drive results.
• Willing to travel.
• German speaking, English fluent.
