Project Description

In this project, we are supporting our customer by designing and implementing a solution to enhance diagnostics and repair remotely over different connections to the vehicle.

Responsibilities
We are seeking a Diagnostics Expert join our expanding diagnostics practice in the location of Wolfsburg and Braunschweig. It will be the task of this hire to provide subject matter expertise around the field of Automotive Diagnostics. In order to meet the expectations of this position we are seeking someone who is able to work in an autonomous and independent manner. Within the role are the following responsibilities:
- Active participation in a consulting team with focus on vehicle diagnostics
- Key point of contact for communication with customer on core diagnostics topics
- Analysis of customer requirements as well as support of customer on the definition of requirements
- Technical lead in diagnostic topics for future automotive architecture
- Design, specification and development of functional blocks for high performance computers
- Concept development and piloting together with the OEM
- Document and report project status project status meetings
- Customer support on communication with different departments or units
- Customer support on definition of processes and architectural requirements
- Collaborate with internal recruitment for building up existing team
- Support internal management on coordination of development team
Skills Required
- Requirements engineering
- Knowledge of diagnostic standards (on-board and off-board) like ODX, OTX, UDS, MCD3D, D-PDU-API
- Knowledge of processes related to diagnostic testing after sales
- Software modelling methodologies and tools like for example Enterprise Architect
- Experience with Middleware software, software frameworks and service-oriented software architecture
- Experience in ECU development software like CANape, CANdela, CANoe is a plus
- Has practical knowledge of automotive software development process
- Practical experience in writing user stories for a SCRUM Backlog is a plus

Advanced Diagnostics - raising the quality of the in-car experience for drivers, passengers, and fleet managers to new heights. We create intelligent end-to-end solutions, from engineering to after sales, that enable next-generation diagnostics. Our Remote-Repair, Self-Repair, Remote-Production and Predictive Diagnostics solutions can provide edge computing for data analytics, predict EV/hybrid battery health, and more.

Within a project for a premium car manufacturer, Luxoft is working on a new generation of vehicle diagnostics, based on service-oriented communication. The project work includes onboard, offboard, tooling and process related aspects and has to consider all the different requirements out of development, production and aftersales point of view. Multiple internal working groups are working on certain areas of the process and integrating the different concepts and solution into an efficient system.

Responsibilities
In your role as Technical Lead you will support the realization of frameworks and extensions for the Adaptive Autosar in the context of diagnostics in different customer projects.
Your responsibilities will include the areas of architecture, design, specification and implementation. You will manage diagnostic requirements and technical details directly with the customer and communicate to the team. Your work also includes support of our board work for Adaptive Autosar. Furthermore you will support in growing our team in context of Adaptive Autosar and Diagnostics.
Skills Required
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or Communications / Media Management or equivalent experience
• 5+ years experience in automotive diagnostics domain
• Expertise in automotive diagnostic standards (UDS, DoIP, ODX) and processes
• Well-grounded experience in embedded development with Autosar
• Advanced or expert knowledge of C++
• Knowledge of Adaptive Autosar and Linux would be a plus
• Experience in agile development (SCRUM)
• Good communication skills in German and English (fluent language and good cultural fit) are a must
